The Spohn Stem Cell Program brings state-of-the-art advanced cancer treatment to South Texans. The course of treatment consisting of high-dose chemotherapy followed by a stem cell transplant increases the chance of cure and can prolong survival in patients with certain types of aggressive cancers.
There are potential side effects and risks along with benefits associated with stem cell transplant. These will be discussed in detail with you by your physician and nurse.
